My journey began in a tiny village in Ghana called Kobro Odumasi, where I was born into a family of five. Our one bedroom home was a mud hut. My parents shared the single bed and my siblings and I either slept on the floor or we sometimes slept on a blanket outside the hut. There was so much poverty around us we thought it was the norm. Today, with my faith in God and a support system of mentors and other generous individuals, my situation is different. My experiences in life have further affirmed my belief that with faith, and the discovery of personal purpose along with the right support system and guidance, each individual can achieve his or her aspirations and live a fulfilled life. It is that belief and my experiences in Ghana that inspired me to establish One Kingdom Foundation (OKF).

One of the tragedies of poverty is its manifestation of hopelessness. This cycle of persistent hopelessness grips rural communities, such as my village, so strongly that it seems to constrict growth, vision, progress, and resourcefulness. There are so many talented young kids in Ghana but few of them get the opportunity to realize their true potential.

Through this foundation, I want to provide an environment far beyond the opportunities that I had growing up. OKF will seek to create a community for children in rural Ghana that cultivates the development of education with purpose, health and fitness, and nutrition. I urge you to help support this vision but more importantly, help make a difference in the lives of the youth in Ghana so they can also discover their purpose and become the difference makers in their communities.
